Since 2013, RARR has been one of Australia's first dedicated polewear brands built by pole dancers who were sick of regular activewear not cutting it on the pole. Every single piece is designed, tested, and worn in real classes, real tricks and real sweat sessions before it ever hits the rack. Because we don't guess what works. We know.

From your very first spin to competition stage lights, this is your complete pole wardrobe.

What to Wear for Pole Dancing

Pole dancing clothing needs to do two things: move with your body and grip the pole. That means fitted, stretchy, skin-baring styles that give you friction where you need it most. No baggy fabric, no slipping, no riding up. Just you and the pole.

What You'll Find Here

  • Pole shorts built for grip, confidence and serious booty, in high waisted and low waisted fits. Why pole shorts? Read the no-shame guide.
  • Pole dance sports bras that hold through drops, conditioning and inverts. Our honest guide for bigger busts.
  • Pole dance sets, matching tops and shorts for class, showcases and comps
  • Mesh styles for coverage without losing the sass
  • Sparkle and sequin options for showcase and competition nights
  • Styles that work for beginners right through to advanced and professional performers

FAQs - Photoshoots

What should I wear to my first pole dancing class?

For your first class, keep it simple. A supportive sports bra and a pair of pole shorts are all you really need. Pole dancing relies on your skin gripping the pole, so shorts are much better than leggings or bike shorts.

If you're feeling a little nervous, don't stress. Most beginners start in a mid-rise short because it gives a bit more coverage while still letting you learn all the basic moves.

Why can't I wear normal gym clothes for pole dancing?

You can, but you'll probably find yourself sliding everywhere.

Gym clothes are designed to help you move easily, while polewear is designed to help you grip the pole. The less skin contact you have, the harder many moves become.

Polewear is also made to stay in place when you're upside down, spinning or climbing, so you're not constantly pulling your top down or your shorts back into place.

What polewear is best for beginners?

Most beginners start with a supportive crop or sports bra and a mid-rise pair of shorts.

A mid-rise short gives you enough skin to grip the pole while offering a little more coverage around your tummy and hips. Once you've been dancing for a while, you'll work out which cuts you love most.

Can I wear RARR polewear for competitions?

Absolutely.

A lot of our customers wear RARR on stage for showcases and competitions. Whether you want something simple or something that sparkles under the lights, we've got styles that are made to move with you while helping you feel confident on stage.

How do I know if my pole outfit will stay in place?

Every RARR style is designed by people who actually pole dance.

Before anything is released, we wear it to class, test it through spins, climbs, tricks and inverts, and make sure it feels good to dance in. If we're constantly adjusting it, it doesn't make the cut.

Which shorts are best if I'm just starting pole?

We usually recommend a mid-rise short.

It gives you a nice balance of coverage and grip, so you can learn comfortably without feeling too exposed. As you become more confident, you might decide to try a lower rise or a cheekier cut, but there's no right or wrong choice.

What if I have a bigger bust?

Support matters even more when you're upside down.

We have several styles that have been tested on bigger busts to make sure they stay supportive during spins, climbs and inverts. If you're unsure which style will suit you best, just send us a message. We'd much rather help you choose the right one the first time.

Why choose RARR for polewear?

We've been making polewear since 2013, and that's all we do.

Every style starts here in Australia and is designed by people who actually pole dance. Before anything goes on sale, it's tested in real classes by real dancers to make sure it fits properly, stays in place and feels good to move in.

We don't just design clothes that look good in photos. We design clothes you'll actually want to train in.
