FAQs
Will these knee pads actually protect my knees?
Yes. RARR knee pads are designed to absorb impact during pole tricks, floorwork and dance training while still allowing you to move freely.
The 1.2 cm EVA foam padding cushions your knees without feeling bulky, making them ideal for everything from beginner classes to advanced tricks.
Will they stay in place while I'm dancing?
Yes.
Our knee pads feature a secure adjustable Velcro closure so you can customise the fit to your leg. Once adjusted correctly, they stay comfortably in place through spins, floorwork and transitions.
Are these good for pole floorwork?
Absolutely.
They're specifically designed for pole dancing and floorwork, with a neoprene base and gel grip dots that help provide traction while protecting your knees from repeated impact and friction.
What's the difference between pole dance knee pads and volleyball knee pads?
Pole dancing places very different demands on your knees.
Volleyball knee pads are designed for jumping and hard landings, while RARR knee pads are designed for floor slides, heel work, sustained pressure and repeated movement across the floor. They offer the flexibility and grip needed specifically for pole dancing.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure around your leg according to our size guide before ordering.
Your knee pads should feel snug enough that they stay in place without restricting circulation. If you're between sizes or need help choosing, we're always happy to help.
I have bigger thighs. Will these fit me?
Yes.
We offer knee pad extenders for dancers with fuller thighs, giving you a more comfortable fit without affecting the position of the knee padding.
If you're unsure, simply get in touch before ordering and we'll help you choose the best option.
Can I wear knee pads over leggings or tights?
Yes.
Many dancers wear them over leggings, tights or leg warmers during winter. They will still protect your knees, although wearing them directly on your skin generally provides the best grip and most secure fit.
How do I wash my knee pads?
Hand wash in cold water and allow them to air dry.
Avoid tumble drying or exposing them to high heat, as this can reduce the lifespan of the foam padding and neoprene.
Do I really need knee pads for pole dancing?
If you're doing floorwork, heel work, kips or tricks that involve your knees, the answer is yes.
Knee pads help absorb impact, reduce bruising and make training far more comfortable. They also give many dancers the confidence to practise longer because they're not worrying about sore knees after every class.
Are these suitable for beginners?
Definitely.
Whether you're learning your first knee slide or training for competitions, RARR knee pads are designed to protect your knees while giving you the confidence to keep progressing.
