Walking into RARR on an open day feels like stepping into the kind of room you've been quietly looking for.

Glittering poles. Racks of brand-new pieces. The smell of coffee. A buzz of people who'd never met each other an hour ago and now look like old friends. Music low enough to still hear someone laugh across the room. Our team somewhere in the mix, ready to chat fit, fabric, photoshoots — whatever you walked in wanting.

If you've ever wondered whether you'd "fit in" at a pole brand event — keep reading. Our open days were built for exactly the person asking that question.

Inside the Hallam Studio

Our Hallam studio sits in Melbourne's South East and is fully kitted out for pole — seven poles at 3.5m high, three brass, two Pussycat, two stainless. On a normal day it's our workroom and class space. On an open day, it becomes a creative free-for-all.

You'll find:

  • Racks of our latest pole wear collections to try on
  • A sample sale section packed with one-of-a-kind pieces at reduced prices
  • The prize wheel loaded with discount vouchers, freebies, and limited-edition pieces
  • Free professional photoshoots running throughout the day
  • Free pole classes from local instructors
  • Local vendor stalls with handmade accessories, snacks, and small-business finds
  • And yes — free coffee

Whether you're brand new to pole, deep in your training, or you came because a friend dragged you — there's something here for every level of curious.

What's Free on the Day

Open days are how we say thank you to our community. So most of the day is completely on us.

The Prize Wheel

Pop down, give it a spin, walk away with something good. Most spins win — vouchers, freebies, sometimes pieces we've held back specifically for open day winners.

Free Photoshoots

This one surprises people every time. We run free professional photoshoots throughout the day — no booking required, no commitment, no pressure. Try on a favourite piece and pose against the studio backdrop, get a quick portrait, or hop on the pole if you want pole-specific photos. The photos are 100% yours — share them, print them, post them, or keep them just for you. We never use anyone's photos without explicit permission.

It's also a genuinely low-pressure way to find out whether you'd enjoy a full paid photoshoot down the track. Spoiler: most people who think they'd hate being photographed walk out absolutely beaming.

Free Pole Classes

Local studios bring their instructors in to run free taster sessions throughout the day — pole intro classes, stretching and flexibility, floorwork tasters, conditioning sessions. Zero experience needed. Wear something stretchy you can move in. If you want grip on the pole, our grip shorts collection is right there to try on before class starts.

Sample Sale

The sample sale is the part our returning customers diary in advance. One-of-a-kind pieces — colours we didn't end up running, prototypes, samples from the Felix and other collections, fit samples that worked but didn't make production — all priced significantly below retail. If you've ever wanted a RARR piece that nobody else has, this is the day to find it.

Local Vendor Market

We host other small Melbourne businesses inside the space — handmade accessories, healthy snacks, hair pieces, jewellery. Shop local, meet other small-business owners, and walk out with finds you didn't know you needed.

Who Open Days Are For

Honestly? Everyone.

  • Pole-curious newcomers who've been thinking about a first class
  • Current students who want to top up their wardrobe with new new arrivals
  • Instructors and studio owners scouting pieces for their students
  • Friends-of-polers who came along for moral support and end up loving it
  • People who already own RARR and want to meet the team and try things on properly

You don't need to be a pole dancer to come. You don't need to buy anything. You don't need to know anyone. The door is genuinely open.

What to Wear

For classes — anything stretchy you can move in. Leggings, shorts, a bra or crop top works perfectly. If you want full pole-grip mode, our scrunch bum shorts are designed for exactly that.

For photoshoots — wear whatever you feel powerful in. We've had people show up in their everyday clothes, others in full glam, others in a RARR set they bought ten minutes earlier. There is no wrong answer.

Why Open Days Matter to Us

We could just sell pole wear online. A lot of brands do. But RARR exists because pole isn't just clothes — it's a community. A creative practice. A place where people who've felt like outsiders in normal gyms finally feel at home. Designing for that community means staying close to it, and open days are how we do that.

For us, it's a day of meeting the people who wear what we make. Seeing real bodies in real pieces. Hearing what works and what we need to do better. Watching someone try on something that finally fits and seeing their whole face change. For you, it's a few free hours in a room full of people who get it. We'd love to see you there.
