Our next interview is with Melbourne Girl Philippa Rasidi aka Miss Filly. Miss Filly is an amazing pole dancer has has won many awards that showcase her talent. I have always known about the awesome Miss Filly in the pole dance world, but after seeing Miss Filly perform and watching her on you tube I am totally inspired.
This is a great interview and Miss Filly has some amazing videos that are a must to watch. Enjoy the story……
Quick Bio on yourself…..
After I started competing in my first comps, Miss Filly was born, because I thought it sounded more girlie than my current nickname….Phil. I slowly worked out that I don’t or can’t always dance like everyone else, but I also realised that was ok. I don’t have a dance, gymnastics, Callisthenics or an anything background. I was a musician and so adapting to this new sporty lifestyle was the biggest change I made to my life.
Also the best decision EVER!

How long have you been doing pole dancing?
I would have been a student about 4 years ago now I think, at Pole Divas in Melbourne.
The moment you realised you love pole dancing?
My sister and I started Pole Dancing together and after a few months we realised we were spending more on Pole classes than on food. I think that was the moment we realised we were addicts!!
Describe your style.
My style has evolved a lot in the last couple of years. I was really against barefoot pole dance and now I can’t get enough of it! I’ve become more, fluid, acrobatic and strength trick based rather than flexi tricks.
I love giant dropping combos but right now, cup grip combos, the Fonji/Kamikaze and the Janeiro.
Tools of the trade, what can’t you live without when pole dancing?
Dry Hands! …. and YouTube!!
Any hobbies or passions outside of pole dancing?
I love film, and do a tongue-in-cheek weekly film review with my bestie, we think we’re hilarious, but it doesn’t seem to be catching on
Can’t live without?
My 2 cats, the Pole Divas Moonee Ponds Studio, a massage.
